Wright Power was originally established in the early 1970’s in Murrumbeena when John and Jill Wright purchased the business known as Power Candles, hence the name Wright Power. The company was founded on the policy of providing quality long burning candles for both churches and retail outlets across Australia.

After relocating to the premises in Springvale in the early 1980’s the company continued to grow with the purchase of state of the art production equipment that enables us to provide the exclusive textured finish of our candle ranges. In 2003 with the retirement of John Wright the company was purchased by the current owners Craig and Kathy and became Wright Power Australia. Since then we have relocated to our current premises in Carrum Downs were we have continued to expand the range of products, colours, sizes and fragrances to meet growing market demand. Whilst our production methods and designs have modernised, we still maintain a commitment to quality and customer service that has seen us remain a market leader for over 50 years.

At Wright Power, we pride ourselves on:

Australian Made Quality You Can Trust
Decades Of Proven Industry Experience
Extensive Wholesale Candle Range
Flexible Custom Candle Solutions
Reliable Nationwide Supply Capacity

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, our candles burn best when the wick is kept trimmed to around 8-10mm long being careful to remove all the trimming.

Keep the wick small and trimmed to around 8-10mm making sure not to leave the trimmings in the wax pool as these can burn later and melt the candle.

Where possible keep candles away from direct sunlight.

Using a candle snuffer rather than blowing out the candle, also using a toothpick or similar to push the wick down temporarily into the molten wax, being careful to stand back up again immediately for relighting later. Simply blowing out the candle and leaving the wick smouldering reduces the amount of wick and makes relighting later difficult.
No, we do not advise moving a burning candle. Simply extinguish the flame and then leave to stand until cooled before moving. Burning candles and the vessels they are in can be quite hot and dangerous to move.
Keep away from all draughts created by air conditioning or open windows, doors etc. Candles burn best in still conditions.

No, candles should always be burnt on a heatproof surface or at least a plate etc to avoid marking the surface. Pillar candles or the glass jar or the aluminium cup get quite hot when burning and should always be left to cool before moving.
